it's almost time!

This July/August I will be saying goodbye to America and hello to Belize as I begin my two year journey as a volunteer through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps' international program. I will be living in Punta Gorda, Belize with three other volunteers where I will be working as an Economic Justice Program Officer through St. Peter Claver Parish's Economic Outreach Program (check out their website: ). This is a new job placement for volunteers and will include work related to the micro-enterprise revolving loan fund. This work will include such duties as identifying beneficiaries and designing and facilitating capacity-building training for beneficiaries. I am very excited about this job placement as I have read a lot about micro-financing through my work in the social work department at PC (love and miss you guys already!). As of now this is about all I know about my placement and the work I will be doing but I will be sure to update you all through this blog with all that I am experiencing! Please keep in touch and update me on all of your lives!....contact me at pcassidybze08@gmail.com!

peace, Pat
