Baxter :)

Hello all,

I just wanted to post a quick little update – we have a new community mate in our house! His name is Baxter and he is a 3 month old Rottweiler puppy! As some of you may know, I have been begging my parents to get a dog for the past fourteen years since the tragic death of our beloved epileptic dog Casey (terribly sad). Alas, my dreams have come true as we have now welcomed little Baxter into our JVI home!

Baxter is a crazy little pup who is on his way to learning the importance of using the outdoor bathroom facilities (our front yard) and the difference between toy (a blue stuffed bone) and non-toy (human flesh) items. Though he has proved to be a great deal of work he continues to bring much joy into our lives (and perhaps a little bit of security – future guard dog?). That’s about all I’ve got for this post! Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers for the next few days as tomorrow I head up to Belize City to begin La Ruta Maya – a four day 179 mile canoe race down the Belize River – KILL ME NOW!
